Unplugged Sunday Mornings: like the boys #6 "You...
We had too many drinks then went to bed, I didn’t see the fireworks in your eyes. When you talked you made no sense, I think you’ll never take a chance. You went to see a friend of mine, tried to tell him you were right, however your lines were so confused, now I know that we’re through - You stayed behind, but you don’t seem to mind - For some days or was it weeks, I was wondering where you...

Unplugged Sunday Mornings: like the boys #5 Ready...
Will I ever see your lights go out? I’ll be holding my hands over your mouth. Cover my tracks in the snow when I’m done. Are you ready? Most of us are trying to find out, what we can say when everybody is out. Out in the rain or the sun, I don’t care. Are you ready?
The sun in Spain that’s all you had to say, Timmy made excuses for you on tuesday, I don’t want to deal with this shit anymore. Good...

We could have danced in front of your brother, I took your mother for a spin. We went round and round and around and around. You played a song the way I never could have. What did you do there and then? My head went round and round and around and around.
She looked at me across the room, I was talking to the groom, I was feeling quite surprised when she said her goodbyes, looked into my…I...

like the boys #3 "Pretty uncomplicated" Unplugged...
She’s pretty uncomplicated if you’d ask me, 22 wasn’t what, I was looking for, she walked the streets of San Francisco
She’s pretty uncomplicated, she stood there in that long skirt, and every time she went to town, she felt safe and sound, she came to see a fight club movie
From disco to disco, Charlotte went, a continent far away from home, far away from the storm, she was getting it on, far...

like the boys #2 "Anorak" Acoustic @ Piccadilly...
It’s the same old game, you wanna have your say, and we’ve been throwing our chances away, don’t know what to say to the rest of us, the rest of us, that’s ok, it’s ok, but maybe…Maybe, you already know what you wanted to say, what you wanted to tell us, you could have spared us the pain. How can you say you know it all? How can you say you’ve seen it all? We were always meant to stay...
It's been 50 years
Half a century ago Tibetans rose up to protest China’s invasion of their homeland. It marks the beginning of the Tibetans’ plight. Since then more than 100.000 Tibetans have fled into exile. The absence of effective international support left the Tibetan government-in-exile (TGIE) high and dry. In 1988, nearly 30 years after China’s invasion, the Tibetans’ future looked gloomy more than ever – the...

Making of...2nd vlog
I never really “understood” Piccadilly Circus. Why is it that throngs of people always seem to gather around that little fountain? The ads aren’t that great and it’s not exactly a quiet nor happening place. Except for Sunday mornings at 730. The sun came out. The adjacent police station’s booth seemed deserted. And Regent St, Shaftesbury Av and Piccadilly played along...
like the boys #1 "Bread and Games" Live @...
It’s always been bread and games, will you do the same? That is how I kept you tame, it’s always been bread and games, you won’t come back to me again, once again. Please don’t break my legs, I was only playing, please don’t break my legs, you walked away, you walked away. Please why don’t you sing, I was only sleeping, why don’t you sing for me, you drift away.
There ain’t no fire or flames, that...

Making of...1st vlog
Getting up early on a Sunday morning’s pretty much always a daft idea, but not today!
Hit the espresso machine, then it was off to the races. Cycling along a rather quiet Bayswater Road, guitar in one hand, watching the outdoor galleries preparing and Spanish/ Italian/ Japanese tourists passing by.
Got to the recording site, briefly talked about what kind of shot we would take and then...

Lo-res-fi
A first trial taping at home helped me settle on a name on what the kind of recording you can expect from liketheboys. Low resolution and low fidelity’s the word. Pollywog will be recording tomorrow morning’s stumble and mumble in Hyde Park. I don’t think you can tell, but I’m excited and hope to have the first video online tomorrow evening. Laters.
Weekend-roar
London in the sun, listening to “Frightened rabbit”, looking forward to some devastatingly good Ottolenghi cooking, might dip down to the local pub for an alcohol-free beer and will be going to the sea tomorrow.
Not complaining at all.
Think I will be recording the first of my 52 songs in Hyde Park next weekend. I hope it will rain.
